ABOUT MICHAEL LUBLIN
I’m a creative soul who loves music, art, mountains, beaches, traveling, animals, my family and my wife.
We define our work as a release of energy and inspiration from the balance and harmony of nature, from trees and rocks to butterflies and coral reefs. We work with color in layers, much like painting on a canvas, each layer is carefully explored and the relationship to the underlying layers is considered. The results is a dynamic relationship of art and design with an efficient use of materials giving a clean line that is elegant and flattering making each piece as unique and beautiful as the woman who wears them.MoMo FaLana’s clothing is sensual, magical and romantic; an otherworldly fantasia of sorts. Although originally known for reinventing and dying vintage slips the designers have shown 11 collections of original designs and sold to stores all around the world. While all designers claim to be “unique,” (MoMo) has given the word a new meaning. MoMo FaLana’s designs combine couture sensibility and craftsmanship while honoring the 5000 year-old tradition of hand dying, with retail prices ranging from $50 - $1500, making each creation as beautiful and unique as the woman who wears it.Clients know that when the design team creates special garments for them, they are bound to get attention just as Sarah Jessica Parker’s gold brocade coat on the season 4 finale episode of SEX AND THE CITY or Joss Stone did at the 2005 Grammy’s when she sang a Janis Joplin duet with Melissa Etheridge and Britney Spears did in her long, electric-orange sheer coat with a plunging neckline revealing a custom lace bra and satin hot pants topped by a feathered fedora which she wore at the 2000 BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS making ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT’S “BEST DRESSED OF THE WEEK.” MoMo FaLana’s media attention has only expanded their celebrity and model clientele. The client list keeps on growing with numerous stage and film costume designers and stylists and other notables such as Jemima Kahn, Nicole Richie, models Agyness Deyn, Jessica Miller, Angie Lindvall, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell and Stephanie Seymour, actresses Uma Thurman and OSCAR WINNER Frances McDormand and musicians like Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Liz Phair, Rob (Matchbox 20) and Marisol Thomas, Little Steven Van Zandt, ‘Lil Kim and Joss Stone and of course our favorite Paris.
